5 soldiers reportedly killed in Boko Haram ambush in Born

Five soldiers have reportedly lost their lives after suspected Boko Haram members hiding in an explosives-laden pickup trucks, rammed into their military convoy in Borno state yesterday April 27th. The troops were on their way to a clearance operation in Damboa community when they were attacked.
A military source who confirmed the attack to AFP said
“At about 1100 hours (1000 GMT) on Thursday, a suicide bomber believed to be a Boko Haram terrorist riding in a van loaded with explosives rammed into a military convoy at Manguzum village. We lost five soldiers in the incident and more than 40 sustained various degrees of injuries”he said
