Moroccan TV apologises after giving makeup tips to women on how to camouflage traces of ‘Domestic Violence’



Moroccan state TV, 2M, has apologized after a makeup tip segment teaching women how to camouflage traces of domestic violence they aired on their TV sparked an outrage.
They showed aired on Wednesday, November 23, two days before the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women. Hours after the show aired, hundreds of women signed a petition demanding an apology from the TV channel.
The petition said: 'As Moroccan women and as feminist activists in Morocco, and in the name of all Moroccan people, we denounce the message of normalization with violence against women. We demand severe sanctions against this show, 'Sabahiyat', and the channel 2M.
In a statement released on Sunday, the state TV station admitted that the controversial makeup tip had been broadcast ‘in total contradiction with the editorial line of the channel.’  
The station also offered its ‘most sincere apologies for this misjudgment' and promised to take action against those responsible for the broadcast.

The protest was organized by students to protest the increase in their school fees. Peter Ofurum who was said to have been a first class student of Accounting was shot dead during the protest (read here)
He was buried in his hometown Oburu Ngokpala in Imo State amidst tears from his family and school mates.

Russian man is left naked and stranded in the cold after lover threw him out mid sex


Motorists in the Russian city of Irkutsk were stunned to see a man standing by the roadside naked in the biting cold and doing his best to cover his modesty with his hands.

Mobile footage of the hapless man was taken by police officers who pulled over to help him. The man can be heard saying: "Help me, please!"My girlfriend took all of my clothes and I can't feel my legs."


The policeman opens the door and says: "Get in and you will get warm."
He told officers:

"I was having fun with a girl who lives in a nearby hostel. We were having sex, then something happened to her. Suddenly she became scared, then someone started knocking on the door and that was it."

Nigeria’s Davidson Obennebo wins Elite Model contest

Nigeria’s Davidson Obennebo has won his place on the global stage as he emerged grand winner at the Elite Model Look competition.

The finale was held in Lisbon, with 62 finalists from 36 countries. 'Elite World' is a leading international model management company.


One boy and one girl were proclaimed overall winners. Obennebo and 15-year-old Jana from the Czech Republic have signed a two-year contract with the agency.

They stand to earn a minimum $150,000. Congratulations to them.

Dora Akunyili's daughter's painting sells for over $1m at auction









Daughter of former NAFDAC boss, Dora Akunyili, Njideka Akunyili Crosby beat her personal record last Thursday when she sold one of her paintings for almost $1.1 million at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Sale.

The painting named Drown (pictured above) which was done in 2012, was initially estimated to sell for $200,000 – $300,000 but was eventually sold for $1,092,500.



No fewer than 11 people made a bid for the painting and it was eventually sold to an anonymous bidder.

“Drown,”is  an intimate double portrait of the artist embracing her husband, Justin. Njideka's previous auction record was $93,750 when she sold her artwork named “Untitled” at Sotheby’s New York in September 2016.

Justin Timberlake's lovely family was on full parade as they set out to explore New York. The musician, his wife Jessica Biel and their 19month old son, Silas, wrapped up warm against the cold as they took in the sights at the Big Apple.

Justin and Jessica have been together since 2007 and tied the knot in October 2012 in Fasano, Italy, welcoming Silas two and a half years later.

Actor, Solomon Akiyesi's wedding to his mistress Uloma was disrupted by his then 7 months old pregnant wife, Lilian, in 2013. He took to Facebook to declare that he is in need of a wife who will make his life beautiful. Read what he wrote on Facebook below ...

Twitter user, Ebuka Akara shared the image above on twitter. The firm is looking for a lawyer with three years experience and they are willing to pay N40,000 per month. It has caused an uproar as a lot people think it is unfair...


See what happened to a nigerian lady while trying to enlarge her bumbum(photos)

A lady has encountered the unexpected after trying to enhance her body features.

According to a Nigerian lady on facebook named Emmanuel Chinedu Udoaku who is crying out on behalf of her friend , the lady allegedly attempted to get a butt enlargement but it went horribly wrong. She shared the photos below, asking for prayers with the caption:

"pls pray for her she went and do pussy enlargement but the result was unfavourable to her and she later develop this....."




Controversial SA 'Pastor' Penuel Mnguni strikes again, commands his congregant to behave like a 'horse'

How exactly are some South Africans still listening to these kind of people? This particular controversial pastor, Penuel Mnguni, who has in the past given his members grass to eat, stepped on their body as part of his deliverance sessions and has had his church shut/burnt in the past over his odd behaviour with his congregation time, pulled this stunt back in May 2016. He has now done it again during one of his services in November.


According to his church, End Times Disciples Ministries' Facebook page, "the Prophet of God was ministering being led by the Holy Spirit he commanded one of the congregants to become a horse he then ride on top of the horse."

‘On Becoming’ the memoir by Nigeria’s sweetheart, Toke Makinwa was launched on Sunday 27th of November 2016 at an intimate gathering held at The Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The intimate event hosted by Tee A and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi was attended by close friends, family, industry colleagues and well wishers. The evening started with a keynote address by Hon. Abike Dabiri after which a short behind-the-scenes clip ‘The Journey to Become’ directed by The Film Factory played.

EbonyLife TV Chairwoman, Mo Abudu then hosted a beautifully curated ‘Conversations with Toke’ interjected with musical interludes by Waje, Niyola, Nikki Laoye, Chigurl, Funbi and Timi Dakolo. Each star sang renditions of carefully chosen songs by the Author representing different chapters of her memoir. Song choices include Aretha Franklin’s A Rose is Still a Rose and Whitney Houston’s Exhale (Shoop).

The highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of ‘On Becoming’, flanked by Lady Esther Akinyelure, Mo Abudu, Ruth Osime and Adebola Adenike; Hon. Abike Dabiri unveiled a life size version of the book art to breathtaking fireworks and theatrics.

The book readings then commenced with Debola Williams and Arese Ugwu who read excerpts from the Prologue and 1st Chapter whilst guests delighted their tastebuds with deliciously scrumptious
Baileys-infused sweet treats.
The evening ended with a book signing whilst posing for pictures with the Author. The celebration continued as guests tasted and savoured signature Baileys and Ciroc cocktails.
